Benjamin is a UNC Charlotte graduate with an MA in Anthropology and a BS in Biology. His graduate research focused on Charlotte’s tree canopy protection networks, specifically investigating the challenges and implications of failing to meet urban preservation goals.

With a multidisciplinary background in science and social research, Benjamin has extensive experience in mentorship, tutoring, and public engagement, including work at Discovery Place Science and Nature. His unique blend of analytical expertise and commitment to environmental education positions him as a strong advocate for sustainable urban ecosystems and human-nature interactions.
